Lifestyle = Outcome
Lifestyles: Whatever we do daily, weekly, monthly or annually is our lifestyle. Whether we are consistent or not or whether we are conscious or not, our actions define our lifestyles. Choices of foods, activities, social networks, media, newsfeeds, financial management, health interventions & connection to a higher calling or purpose all contribute to the lifestyle we live. Choosing the lifestyle that you want is the first step to achieving it. What choices are you making today to contribute to the lifestyle that you want?
Negative Lifestyle: What activities are you doing that increase the risk of illness & suboptimal health? Rate your health from 1 to 10 [1=poor; 10=excellent]. Now, rate yourself using the following topics. 1) Food Choices (Mostly/All Whole-Food-Plant Based); 2) Moderate Activity Level (150 minutes/week); 3) Positive/Loving Support System; 4) Control of Expenses; 5) Relaxation Practices; 6) Alcohol Abstinence; 7) Smoking/ Vaping/ Substance Abstinence; 8) Sleep (duration, bedtime, quality); 9) Stress-Management (e.g.: control of mental, work, relationships, financial stresses); 10) Hygiene (dental, bodily); 11) Healthcare (appointments, screenings, follow through on health advice); 12) Productive Screen Time. Read & learn how to improve all your negative lifestyle scores.
Lifestyle Outcome: Whether we are influenced genetically, environmentally or socially, the way we respond determines our outcome. We can make any scenario worse & we can make any scenario better. And for those who just throw their hands up in the air and say that they can never change, they have created a blanket excuse for not wanting to try. What lifestyle changes are you doing to reach the outcomes that you desire?
Lifestyle: Default versus Better: Make a list of all your lifestyle choices that you do by default. Then, make a list of all your lifestyle choices that will make your life better. Which list do you like? The best way to influence your default lifestyle choices is to spend more time working on the list that makes your life better. This is the only way to enjoy & to obtain the wishes of your desired lifestyle.
Lifestyle Knowledge: Do you have the knowledge or interest to improve your life? Does your environment inspire you to obtain the outcome that you desire? Do you have the mindset of not being satisfied with the status quo? Read & learn from others who have achieved & accomplished what you want. Then, get to work on your own personal improvement plan & apply your new knowledge to your life.
Lifestyle Nudges: Nudge your lifestyle in the direction that you want. Take an aspect of your life that you want to change & add one positive change while subtracting one negative aspect. Start slowly, but be consistent. Example: Eliminate one process-food item from your meals & replace it with a fresh vegetable or fruit. Keep on slowly nudging your lifestyle in the direction that you want & you will build the consistency needed to move yourself towards your desired life goals.
